Health Screening**
These are available to both men and
women and include a physical examination, full blood screen (including cholesterol,
liver function tests and blood sugar), ECG and other tests, as necessary.
Advice is available on diet, weight
control, exercise, alcohol and smoking.
Well Woman Care
Cervical Smears / Breast Examinations**:
these should be done on a regular basis for all women.
Menopause: assessment and management.
Pregnancy Tests: immediate results.
Maternity Care: antenatal and postnatal
checks.
Family Planning
Your doctor will advise you on all
aspects of family planning in complete confidence.
Child Development Assessment
These should be carried out at six
weeks, between three and four years and between twelve to thirteen years of age.
Vaccination Clinic
Every Tuesday and Wednesday morning.
Travel Vaccinations
Your doctor will advise which vaccinations
are necessary and when you should be given them.
Cryosurgery**
This is now available and is covered
by the VHI Scheme. A large number of lesions can be treated painlessly by this
technique.
Surgical Procedures**
Several surgical procedures can be
carried out in the surgery. Many of these are covered by the VHI Scheme.
Driving Fitness Tests
These include Eye Tests.

The practice nurse is available in
the treatment room by appointment and can help with the following:

Fees
There is no "set fee".
The fee is charged in accordance with the consultation and whether any extra investigations,
injections, smears or other treatments and procedures are performed. Your doctor
will be happy to discuss any fees in advance with you. In order to simplify the
practice administration, we would request that all medical fees be paid at the
time of consultation. The receptionist will issue a receipt. It is a policy of
this practice to itemise its medical fees.
